Unto him be glory in the church...

Ephesians 3:21

Who We Are

“Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.” (Ephesians 3:21)

The First Baptist Church of Ranson is an Independent Fundamental Baptist Church ministering to the community of Jefferson County, West Virginia, and surrounding areas. In a world where moral absolutes have become various shades of gray, there is still black and white. We hold forth the Word of God as truth that never changes for a world that changes

constantly.

What We Beleive

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” (2 Timothy 3:16)

We are an independent Baptist church. We do not belong to any denomination. We do not pay dues to nor submit to any religious body or board. As far as spiritual matters are concerned, we do not acknowledge any human head or authority. We answer only to our Lord Jesus Christ, Who is the true head of the church. (Col. 1:17-18)

We are a fundamental Baptist church. We believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God (we use the KJV). We believe in soul winning. We believe in preaching against sin. We believe that Christians should live holy lives separate from the world. (2 Cor. 6:14-18)

We are a traditional Baptist church. We do not believe that the way to reach the world for Christ is to become like the world. We are not in the entertainment business. Our worship services are traditional. Both our music and our preaching are traditional. We strive to avoid the sinful contemporary trends of this world as much as possible. (Rom. 12:2)

Service Times

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”  (Hebrews 10:25)
